Wanna have seafood tonight, so came to here and the food is soooo good!! Also the service!! After pizza, salad, steak for few days, having seafood is just so perfect!!
The octopus is cooked so good!!! And also the cuttlefish for starter is delicious!! The bread they served is Sardinia bread, crispy!!

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Italo is in a great location. The service was spectacular and the food was fresh and not at all typical! There were many interesting options and I wish I had time to go back and try them all!

Good, healthy home-like food in a very special atmosphere. Ask the owner to tell you the story behind this cant-miss restaurant.

Italo is a very unusual restaurant in the historic town center. Vintage decor, the new owners opted to keep the same furnishing as when it first opened many years ago. You can choose to dine in the main room or have more privacy in one of the tables near the entrance, that resemble a train carriage.
Quirky avant-garde art from the best loal artist is scattered all over the place and there's also an old piano that guests can play if they want. The food is quite good. As entreè we ordered the sample seafood dish (at least for two people) which included fried sardines, tuna tartare, octopus carpaccio with caramelized red onion, smoked salmon and fried calamari. The main courseTagliatelle del Cardinale was ok, but considering that it's black and red tagliatelle with fish bits and pistachios, it could have done with a better presentation, as it didn't look very appealing . Taste was good though. and Zuppa Inglese dessert really delicious. The staff is super nice and friendly yet very discreet. The bill was fair for what we had. I will go back and try other dishes to have a better understanding, but overall a nice place to spend an evening

This restaurant is a very good choice for a dinner in Reggio Emilia.

Wide menu including options in both typical and revised cuisine ... after the dinner you can also take a walk through small streets directly to the main square, very lovely.
