The experience of seeing these temples cannot be described in words. you have to see for yourself. Apart from Angkor Wat, this is the best site we ever saw. hard to believe that this was build 2500 years ago.

This is a wonderful site to explore. Yes, there are tour buses but it is easy to wait until they have left an area and be there almost alone. Parking is just by the site if you have a car, or it is a stroll of less than 1km from the train station.

A great site, very clean and plenty to look at. Not crowded and parking is just across the road. Took lots of photos here and very few people to spoil the photo unlike rome.

Not my cup of tea usually, but this was a lovely experience with our family a walk round the ruins and then drink and snacks at a lovely café/bar, lots of small stalls etc, we returned a second time

Paestum is totally incredible but not on the main tourist route round Herculaneum & Pompeii .
It is so easy to get a train down here from Naples so make sure you put it on your hit list .
This 2500 year old site has to be seen to be believed & it is so much more than just the temples. Not all of it has been excavated as much is under private property .
Lovely to walk round & the museum is well worth going round . Allow yourself plenty of time .
Only sadness is you feel Italians could take much greater care of their history - they almost have too many ancient places to appreciate them fully . So much more could be done to bring these sites to life . There are amazing mosaics here that are not referred to and you just fall upon them walking off the beaten track .

Do go you will not be disappointed
