Wife and I stayed here for 1 night during our Xmas holiday.
1 night was not enough, we wanted to stay longer. What a wonderful place. The location was perfect and easy to get to. From the train station we took the funicular up into Orvieto, a shuttle bus was already waiting to take us to the Duomo. This place was just around the corner from the Duomo.
We were met by an extremely helpful and friendly lady named Vittoria. She showed us the house and made many great recommendations to restaurants.
From the house, we were able do everything we needed just by walking. in just one afternoon, we were able to visit the well, the Duomo and it's museums, many other churches, lunch at Trattoria la Grotta, explored the streets of Orvieto, walked the entire 3 miles of Anello della Rupe, did the romantic night light walk along the rampart and had dinner at Al Pozzo Etrusco.
The house was fully equipped with a kitchen, dining area, laundry, bedroom and a great bathroom. The bed was one of most comfortable beds we had during our holiday. I think it had a memory foamed pillow with memory foamed top mattress or pads. The bathroom amenities they provided was wonderful with lavender scent. The laundry was easy to operate which we fully utilized during our stay. The WiFi worked great without any hiccups. In the morning we used the kitchen and made ourselves some breakfast, and found everything we needed to do just that.
It was a wonderful and refreshing stay. We loved it so much we vowed to come back and stay here for at least a week relaxing in the Tuscany hills somewhen during the summer.
