We were recommended this place by our wait staff and chef at another establishment where were having aperitifs. It was quite late into the evening and weren't sure we'd get a table as we hadn't booked, but the staff were super friendly and advised there would be a table available in 20 mins if we didn't mind waiting (which we didn't). They pointed us towards their bar upstairs where we could have drinks, here was where I discovered Italians have been in the Gin industry for the past 5 years or so; there was a whole array of bottles in this bar, who knew!? Moving on, the barman whipped me up probably the nicest smelling G&T that's ever crossed my nose pallet, it tasted yummy too. Not long after we were told our table was ready to which we promptly headed. I ordered the deer ravioli which was fantastic, a dish I'd recommend, and my partner had a tomato something pasta to begin, it was yummy but that's not the dish I want to highlight, he also ordered a fillet steak covered in a garlic sauce which was divine!!! That dish I'd highly recommend! We like our steaks medium rare and this was cooked probably on the rarer side of medium rare, but it was perfect! I personally loved it. We had no space for desert, but our server brought us two glasses of grappa on the house as a digestivo.
Overall the service was great, staff friendly and food fantastic, dining in a lovely underground stone walled setting surrounded by bottles of wine.
