We looked at the Trip Advisor map and thought this was on the outskirts of Molveno .and set off expecting to find it quickly . After a walk of 15 minutes with no sign of the restaurant we turned round, went back and looked at the map again on our tablet. Next day we set off again and asked some people en route if we were indeed on the right road. It took us a good hour's walk ( in reality and hour and a half) to reach it from Molveno and we found the last part up the steep hill hard work.
It was a fort built by the Germans to keep out the French.
It is what it is - a simple restaurant which provides basic decent food and drink for walkers i.e decent pasta, sausages with polenta . It has lovely views of the lake.
