Stayed for 2 nights this hotel is a gem, staff are very accommodating friendly great location, rooms are small but if staying for 1 or 2 nights it’s ok, breakfast was buffet style better than anticipated, 1 downside unlike UK hotel rooms there was no hot drinks facility in the rooms but overall lovely.

Location: on the mainland in Mestre, tram to Venice 2 mins from hotel €1.50, takes 10-15 mins. Tram from Mestre railway station also. So get ATVO from airport to Mestre railway station. Mestre itself is worth a walk around, department stores and nice restaurants in the square.
Hotel: clean, tidy, friendly and comfortable. Rooms are not massive but exactly what is needed as a great base for exploration of Venice. Rooms kept in top nick each day by friendly staff. Breakfast is continental but substantial with good variety. All staff were so helpful.
Venice: book tours in advance to avoid queueing. Gondola ride, St Marks, and definitely the Secret Itineraries tour of the Doge’s Palace. Everything is walkable from tram terminus but day tickets for water buses will get you to most places by river from tram terminus. Expect to get lost but it’s a small island so no grief! Avoid centre restaurants where they only accept cash☹️. Try the small eateries, lots around. No restaurant in hotel so either eat in Venice at night or try the restaurants in Mestre after the tram ride back at night.

Had a four night break here, the rooms although small were clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was good, staff excellent, handy for tram into venice, some good bars close by.
Only complaint is no bar even though it looks like one in reception, would stay here again

Room tip: Ask for a room with a balcony

The Hotel Venezia was chosen for us by our travel agent, and what a brilliant choice it was. Easy to access from the Marco Polo airport, by bus or taxi, and just was easy to get to Venice Island by bus. Only 3 euros return on the bus, taking about 20 mins, buses every 10 minutes from just around the corner. The hotel itself was charming, all gold paint and sparkling mirrors, very traditional in style, with comfortable beds, nicely decorated and an excellent continental breakfast included, with the all important free wifi. The staff we welcoming and so helpful, providing information, maps, bus tickets, umbrellas and recommendations for places to eat in the area. Good value, will definitely go back.
