One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in - we discussed amongst ourselves what they could do better and came up with nothing. The hotel is right on the lake, with its own jetty for swimming from and a great view of the town and castle. There is also an outdoor pool. It's about a 10 minute walk into town along a cycle path. We had a room with a balcony and lake view. The dinner in the hotel was a good choice, well cooked and very reasonably priced. The staff are lovely.

Room Tip: Choose a lake view room, though one of our party had a room at the back of the hotel, which was modern.

We stayed here for a family wedding and was impressed by the standards and location. Staff in general were ok but not overly friendly (thats not to say they were rude either, just didn't really go out of their way). There wasn't much made of the wedding party (of which they was approx 15 of us) or the bride and groom which you often get at other wedding parties, which was a bit of a shame. Rooms were nice by design and also clean and the morning breakfast was adequate. A lake view room is a must and worth every penny! The location was a 15-20min walk into the main town, which has a castle and lots cobbled streets and plenty of restaurants to eat. 10mins to the nearest boat tour or 25-30 mins walk to the cable car up Monte Baldo, which was an excellent experience.

Room Tip: Lake and castle views were a must!

Our third stay in this wonderful hotel and yet again we had a holiday to remember. On every visit we notice slight improvements to the hotel rooms, pool, restaurant etc... NOT THAT THEY WERE NEEDED!

Renato, Deborah, Maria and all the staff are very friendly and helpful and new recruits Fedrerico and Amder(?) in the bar and restaurant add a sense of informality and fun.

We cannot wait to visit again in 2017.

Room Tip: Always try to take a lake side room. Stunning views.

This was our sixth stay - we love Malcesine and wouldn't want to stay in any other hotel (we've tried 5 others).
From the minute we arrived to a warm welcome from the young man on reception (very friendly and helpful), we felt truly relaxed. We had not visited for a couple of years and were sorry to hear of Adrian's departure (one of the most efficient barmen we have ever known), but Maria leads the new team with professionalism and still finds time to speak with guests. The new waiters are friendly, enjoying jokes with the guests (Federico)!
We think that the food has improved - no more potato croquettes or cream desserts! There is also a chef cooking breakfast eggs or crepes to order.
There is a new spa area which looks lovely - we didn't use it other than to shower before our late departure. Debora is always helpful in offering the opportunity to store luggage securely then freshen up before travelling.
We book direct with the hotel in order to get a lake view room and corresponding table at the front of the dining room, for this is how tables are allocated - not by some kind of favouritism as some posts suggest.
Peace and quiet in a beautiful location is what the hotel offers - no live music or large parties, which are catered for at other hotels.
The hotel has a private jetty from which you can enter the lake - a swim followed by a cool drink as you watch the world go by - perfect.
Another heavenly week which saw us reluctant to leave...

Room Tip: Lake view rooms have good view towards town. Pool view rooms are quiet and face Monte Baldo - depends what you prefer.
