Stayed September just for a week. Booked direct with hotel to get the desired room we wanted early on. We stayed half board and were delighted with the offerings. 4/5 course evening meal always seemed to offer something both of us liked on all courses. Coffee/cakes/biscuits given free at 16:00 - 17:00hrs which we joined for most days - lovely touch we thought.

Housekeeping very good and ALL towels and bedding in our room changed every day. Toiletries never ran out in bathroom.

Bar staff and serving staff also delightful people and so welcoming.

All staff were extremely helpful and obliging including assistance at reception with our boarding passes on return journey. We would be back next year if flights to South West of England from Verona improve. Otherwise we hope to return there again in 2020 by hook or crook, as stay was so lovely.

Pool area very clean and well maintained too, along with gardens. Lots of nice seating available for anyone wishing to sit around, both in sun and shade.

To anyone thinking of booking this is a lovely hotel in our opinion. It is situated at what we considered the quieter end of the bay. Just a short walk from the jetty for boats but a little further than most hotels to bus station (should you wish to use that service to sightsee). We were fortunate with a pre-booked coach trip to Verona in being picked up and returned outside our hotel, which was lovely after a tiring day out.

For the elderly, please be aware that the drive is steep but not too long. Three quarters of the steps up are very shallow and there is a handrail along the pathway. I struggle a little with walking but managed the steps ok. There is space of course at reception to park on the flat whilst cases are offloaded on arrival.

We looked around in Garda and thought our hotel came out tops for us.

We didn't hire a car but thought parking may have been a tad tight for manoeuvring - just our personal observation.

Room tip: To get the largest luxury rooms you need to book with hotel direct rather than a booking company.

This hotel is excellent, close proximity to Garda centre and a perfect mix of a luxurious feel with down to earth friendly staff and clientele. It does lack gardens but has a wonderful raised pool area and the views are fantastic. (Free access to a private garden area is included a 5 minute walk away) if required.
Although we did only have a balcony room overlooking the car park (our choice to save money) the room was spacious with every convenience catered for.
Fantastic modern bathroom as well.
Great breakfast choices and cute little daily pamphlet given each morning with the weather and daily tips. They also turn down you bed in the afternoon which is a cute extra..
Drinks at the bar are also very reasonably priced for a hotel of this level.
Cannot wait to return here next September x

We stay as a couple every other year and I’m glad to say the quality has not changed. The food is fabulous and varied, the staff are excellent and the location is superb. Try and get a lake facing room, it’s worth paying extra for the view. The hotel also has private gardens on the lake which is an ideal area for a spot of quiet.

Room tip: Go for front

I always read what others say about hotels before making a judgement. Iam of the view that you cannot please everybody but some people should perhaps read Tripadvisor before staying somewhere that clearly does not suit their taste. It is after all what Tripadvisor is all about.

So let’s be clear I have stayed there three times now and this is a first for me anywhere in the world and I have travelled a lot. To my mind this is a very good Italian hotel located in a wonderful location. The staff are really good and very friendly. I cannot vouch for all the rooms or the quality of all the food they serve because I have only stayed in a good lake facing room and not eaten there in the evenings ( we just prefer to go into town to eat because it suits us). I have always enjoyed the breakfast because it offers a wide choice and being available from 7-10am is useful (try getting breakfast in some London hotels after 9.30).The coffee is sometimes a bit strong but you can get other coffee to order if that is not to your taste. If you are inclined you can have a glass of Proseco with your breakfast.

A few comments which I hope will be helpful

1. It is a little way out of town but not that far (you cross a road and then walk down the promenade). Unless you have mobility issues i think this a positive as you get to see life on the lake. It is also really near to the ferry dock.
2. Never been concerned by road noise and frankly only busy a couple of times a day most of the year although i expect much busier in the peak summer months (i would never go there then anyway). There is a beach bar nearby that can get noisy some nights but never that late.
3. The hotel is not cheap but that is because it is in Garda, faces the lake, has a pool, free onsite parking, free fast WiFi.
4. Book direct and stay 5 nights or more and you get free transfers from either Verona or Desenzano (check when you book that this is available).
5. This sort of hotel suits mainly older people (but frankly that tends to be the profile of a lot of Lake Garda visitors especially outside of July-Aug). So if you that puts you off go somewhere else. However you might be like me and don’t care about the age of other guests as long as my personal needs are met and you have the opportunity to be around a wide range of people nearby.
6. The 4-5pm tea and cake ritual is a bit twee but actually quite nice occasionally
7. If you have any questions ask people, including me, who have stayed there via Tripadvisor as you will often get a really good insight, much better than trying to decipher a wide range of comments.

Room tip: 3rd floor lake facing gives the best view. Side rooms are a bit quieter

made perfect by service of staff. team led by very welcoming Vito. Alexander in the bar, forgive me as not100% sure on name, always had a smile and so helpful. The ladies keeping rooms cleaned did a great job and again always so friendly. Well situated meaning a short stroll to ferry and town. The road is busy but road noise all part of Italian life and not heard in rooms .Welcome. coolness in room provided by shade from trees. Thank you to all for a very enjoyable stay. 3rd visit already booked.

Room tip: rooms on side coolest and have limited lake view.
