This review is about the restaurant, not the hotel. We were seated on a terrace overlooking the lake with trees and flowers all around. We had the buffet which had multiple cold and hot options including salads, seafood, pasta, cheeses, meats and fabulous desserts (chocolate cake to die for and wonderful fruit). We had delicious wine and the wait staff was attentive without hovering.

Drive here for lunch on our way to Torri del Benaco and had a light lunch. The view was awesome and there is not much seating available on the strip from where you can view the lake and surroundings. It's more like a bar with a few dishes but there is also a proper restaurant in the hotel. Prices were a bit steep, but I guess you do pay for the vantage point and the view.

Was driving past this place and decided to step in for lunch. Found a resto bar by the lake. Food was on the expensive side. Relaxing atmosphere. For a better view of the spot stop by the road a bit away from the property.

The location directly on lake Garda is pretty amazing, with all the charm of an old abbey sitting on the shore on the lake. The rooms are on the rustic side and a bit dark, fortunately we had a “loggia” (covered balcony directly overlooking the lake) which was really the best place in the room to read or just sit and relax. Without the loggia it would be frankly a bit sad.
The restaurant is excellent, with friendly staff and brilliant fish and pasta dishes. Special mention for the long list of grappas to try after dinner and good advice from the waiter in this regard.
Not really a luxury hotel but it does have its distinctive advantages (did I mention the location and the restaurant ?).

Let's start by noting that this was a favorite of Winston Churchill. The hotel sits in a private park on the shore of Lake Garda. I boasts a quiet little harbor, a gorgeous stone courtyard, and gorgeous rooms overlooking the lake, some with private small logia as a form of anteroom. Service is excellent. The restaurant is excellent as well. When the weather allows sitting outside on the lake front terrace is magic..breakfast, lunch and dinner. The dishes are not elaborate...Italian food should not be elaborate...but everything is well executed. For the quality, prices are reasonable.
