Chose this hotel as wished to be in a central location. It is not too far to walk to the Faloria cable car and the ski shuttle buses to take you to other areas. The hotel is situated within easy walking distance to the pedestrian area of the town.
There was adequate parking at the hotel.
The boot room is small but the hotel advised us we could take our boots to the room as there is inadequate space downstairs.
Our room was a suite on the 4th floor with a small balcony and a lovely view of the Tofana ski area. The suite could sleep up to 3 people which gave us more than enough space. The room was serviced every day to a very high standard.
Breakfast is buffet style with the usual continental choices and is served from 7.30 giving you plenty of time to catch the first cable cars to the slopes. There is an excellent ski rental/ service shop across the street and a garage next door.
We didn't have a dinner in the hotel but we did sit by the lovely log fire for a pre dinner drink.
Friday and Saturday nights are disco night and even though we could hear this on the 4th floor,we sleep with the windows open, it didn't cause too much of a disturbance.
All the staff were polite and friendly and we hope to return next year.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the night club/ disco if staying on a Friday or Saturday night.

My family and I stayed in this well-known hotel in Cortina. Perfect location, close to everything, wonderful service, cozy and really clean rooms, extremely kind and professional personnel. The receptionists (and the owner) were discrete but really efficient in solving some “minor” problems with eventual negative impact on our vacation. We have stayed in many other hotels in Cortina and I can assure you that this hotel management runs things at the top! As it is well known, people makes the difference!
Cortina is beautiful and Hotel Europa is the perfect place to enjoy your stay at the most!

This hotel is in the middle of everything actually it is walking distance with ski equippment to the Tofana cable car.. wich is great because the hotel doesn´t drive their guests to the slopes... The bar is great fantastic service great drinks and really cosy. We stayed in a deluxeroom everything worked as it should comfortable beds and so on but pretty small however nice balcony and nice view . The hotel actually offers valet parking and parking was for free :)
The breakfast buffé is marginal , however for some extra euros on request the make you fantastic scrambled eggs with bacon...
Ski room is very small and almost in the lobby. When it comes to the end you get what you pay for and it is good value for money .
If you thinks it is important that the hotel drives you to the slopes help you with the skies have some cold cuts and drinks in the ski room and offers roomservice( there was no) this hotel is not for you. There is no turndown service either :(
This was not my style of hotel but still I must recommend it because the staff did everything they could to make our stay as good as possible and like I said before it is in the middle of everything .

Do not book with this hotel. We had such a terrible experience. We stayed here recently and on the Saturday night we were woken up at 2am by loud music. I went down to the lobby and there was security there and they were having a disco, which they do not tell you when you’re booking the hotel. We were right above it so we could hear the loud people and music. They said they turned the music down but as we were right above it we could hear the whole thing. THIS WENT ON UNTIL 5AM! So they charge you double for a Saturday night and then you don’t get to sleep!

I spoke to reception the next morning requesting to speak to management, after following up a couple of times I was informed that the manager was in fact who I had spoken to at 2am. I explained we weren’t happy and the lady at reception said they would give us money back when we checked-out.

When we went to checkout we were informed that because we booked through Expedia we would have to call Expedia to organise the refund with the hotel for the Saturday night.

So I call Expedia, they then tell us Hotel Europa denied the refund!!

This is totally unacceptable to have discos until 5am, nowhere on the website or anywhere states this. We wouldn’t have booked at this hotel had we known. And then to lie to us and say they will give us a refund for that night and then deny it! Do not stay here.

If you understand “special” whether it’s unique architecture and incredibly beautiful decor elements this place will accommodate your needs. The rooms are not fancy but cozy and charming most of them with stunning views. The staff is extremely kind and beyond helpful. And in case you are a non-skier the apres ski by the fire place whilst sipping a negroni or such will give you every reason to book your next stay....
I can’t wait to be back. Thank you everyone at the Europa for another beautiful Christmas vacation.
