What a refreshing change from chain run hotels. This family business gets it right. We spent 4 nights here and loved it. The meal package (breakfast and dinner) meant we didn't have to go down the road the 1km or so to find cafe or whatever, and the food and wine here are awesome! There is a bit of traffic noise (as there is in most of Cortina) but the back garden with Gazebo etc means you can get away from it if you want. The garden also gives you direct access to the cycle/walking path.

A really nice family-run hotel. My room was comfortable and lovely. The owners were really helpful and went out of their way to give me a personal service. I was there in June and would really like to come back. At any given time.

Excellent service. Not a luxury hotel (thin towels, older furnishings) but ideal for us on our hiking trip. Expansive spread for breakfast, the best on our trip by far. Did I mention the people? Helpful, informative, friendly. Loved it.

The location is fabulous! I will be back to Cortina at some point! It is beautiful. The hotel is run by a family. When our taxi pulled up they were standing outside to greet us. Everyone spoke perfect English and the hotel had a B&B feel. They welcomed us into their home and made sure everything was good for us. The hotel restaurant was very nice with great food and friendly service at a reasonable price. Breakfast was included and was wonderful. Try the croissants. They had fruits inside and were heavenly. The rooms were very nicely appointed and were very large. We didn't drive a car, so the owners recommended that we rent bikes and go up to a Refugio. They sent us to a bike shop in town and we rented mountain bikes with an electric motor that helped us go uphill (we're not mountain bikers). The ride was about 15 miles and we saw a part of the alps that we never would have seen otherwise. It was a highlight of our Italy trip and was made possible because of our gracious hosts. Our thanks go out to them for a wonderful time!

Room Tip: We stayed in the annex and it was great!

4 brothers and one sister-family hotel! A beautiful hotel!

We met 2 brothers and one sister, all good mannered, very friendly and very professional!

Our stay was a wonder even if it rained all the time. The comfort is outstanding; they take care of us all the time.

The breakfast and the dinner were good.

We hiked in the range of Pomagagnon mountains that overlook the hotel and from where we had a wonderful view! Ask for room 33 with 2 balconies just in front of the mountains! It is beautiful and majestic!

Thank you to all the Menardi family! Long life to the whole family, especially the Mother of the 5 children who is responsible for raising and educating her 5 children in the old good way and for decorating the hotel with stunning pieces of art from all around the world!
