The location of this property allowed us to take day trips to several Tuscan towns including Assisi and Cortona. The property was clean, had a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and quality linens. There were screens on all the windows. We especially enjoyed the flowers, the nearby olive trees and vineyard. The panoramic view from the villa was picture perfect with cypress trees and castles on the horizon and the landscape of wheat fields and pastures. Seven of us stayed for one week. There was ample room for dinners and relaxing on the outdoor deck. We were thrilled with the pool and spent evenings there sipping local wine. Without hesitation we would return to this property. We had a true Tuscany experience at Podere Chianciano and thank Raffaele, the owner, for his gracious hospitality.

We had a such a brilliant time at Podere Il Biancospino in September.
We drove from a far-away airport but airports are as little as a couple of hours drive away. Either way the scenery on route is spectacular.
Raffaell, the owner is welcoming and knowledgeable. He met us on our arrival and after showing us around the farmhouse and grounds, booked a table for us that evening at a restaurant in nearby Chianciano. The farmhouse is great. The upper terrace is ideal for catching the last of the sun and the lower terrace is perfect any time of day. 4 beds, 3 baths and a perfectly relaxing living area.
We stayed in late September and the pool is sheltered enough that we all burnt, even though nearby Chianciano, that can be seen along with a lot of Tuscany from poolside was a bit cooler.
Stay here, rent a car and drive around the beautiful countryside and towns such as Chianciano (5 mins) Monte Pulcciano (15 mins) and the coast (1hr 50)
Nothing to dislike here.
We're going back ASAP
Our party of eight had a fantastic time visiting Raphael‘s Tuscan villa. Located nearby Montepulciano and Montelcino, it was perfect for wine tastings in these beautiful towns. The local wineries and restaurants were a real highlight. The pool offered a great respite while relaxing at the villa as well. Bravo!
We settled on having a big family gathering for a birthday milestone here in the middle of stunning Tuscany! The traditional style farmhouse accommodated 7 comfortably between two floors. Three bathrooms and backup kitchen for overflow worked well. Only one problem two weeks was not enough!! The weather heated up and the pool overlooking lush patchwork countryside was hard to leave. However, the house was particularly well placed for quick visits to some beautiful towns; Montepulciano, Pienza, San Quirico D'Orcia, Montalcino. Florence and Siena were also not too far. Our local town was 5 minutes to the Coop for provisions and cafes for the morning fix of espresso doppio! How lucky were we! Mr Rafaele looked after our every need and was a wonderful host that definitely contributed greatly to our special two weeks! The crowning experience was a birthday lunch cooked by Leonardo - we all participated in making pici pasta ("typici" of the area), and learnt to make a number of other traditional dishes. The rest of the meal was equally delicious and an amazing meal surpassing any restaurant experience! Bellissimo!
