The apartment is one of about 50 in the complex, mostly (it seems) owned by locals as holiday homes. Ornella's is one of these, and the apartment is well equipped, on the ground floor with good outside sitting space to front and rear, and is cool inside during the heat of the day. It overlooks the main-road into Cefalu, but is raised above it, so the noise is not too intrusive. The apartment is fitted out with basic furniture, and could do with a bit of updating and a coat of paint, but is generally OK. There is a communal swimming pool, which is excellent, clean and well-kept, and the apartment comes with its own sunbeds. The pool was virtually deserted during the week, with the local owners turning up at the weekends (this was in June). The walk to the supermarket along the main road was 15 minutes; to the beach was 10 minutes via steps, and to the beginning of the town (via the promenade) was about 30 minutes. Hotel Lucia was 5 minutes walk away, which had a gelateria, pattiseria and bar.
