All the pictures look great on the booking portals. The location IS actually beautiful, really. But...
It’s not what it seems to be. And don’t expect a “Castello” if you’re not familiar with the multiple meanings of what that could be in Italian.
It’s a very small hill village that seems to be owned by a vineyard family. Many pictures that you see online are from their private mansion and you won’t find that in your room. Many of the rooms won’t have a view at all (if u consider looking at a wall to be a “no view”). Rooms are spread over the small village, it’s not a hotel or a finca. Two place to dine / lunch. The “bruschetta place” is pathetic. Water in plastic cups, bruschetta that isn’t even worth the name and a view directly on the Main Street 5 meters in front. The main place offers good authentic food.
Anyhow rooms where clean, mattresses sucked and waaaaay to soft (you sleep curved), still a kind of cool atmosphere, mainly rooms are located within a holiday apartment but numbered and with own keys.
Finally the swimming pool is somewhere 3km away.
Tuscany nice hilly old place to stay? Look for a different location.
But we have to admit... their wine is good.More
