A very relaxing stay at Piera and Roland's home in Avigliana, where we were made to feel very welcome. Roland's English is good so it was easy to communicate with him. We'd booked a double room for us and our Golden Retriever, but instead we were upgraded to a room on the ground floor with access to the garden. There was a separate small sitting area and private shower room, as well as the bedroom. Breakfast was wonderful with freshly squeezed orange juice and home made bread, as well as yogurt, croissants and cakes. We were offered ham, eggs, cereals, etc as well. (Breakfast was an extra 4 euros each if we chose to take it and was well worth the price.) Roland phoned up the local pizzeria to check they would be happy with an accompanying dog and booked us a table, which was very useful.

Piera and Roland can make you so relaxed you think you found a new family. Every morning Roland bake fresh bread in his owen (about 4 kg.) and will be ready for breakfast. The taste and perfume is fantastic. You ask and they prepare everything with skill and grace. The place will be under improvement in November to transform a bedroom en-suit. Thank again to Piera e Roland, you are my n°1!

Room Tip: A little apartment on ground floor or bedroom on first floor.

My girlfriend and I spent an escape weekend at this B&B. Very nice room, romantic and cozy, well fitted and clean, only drawback the private bathroom is out the room, accessible through the common corridor, but the owners already planned some house works to change this and next year the room will have a direct access to the bathroom.
Hotel location is very quiet, a bit far apart from Avigliana but on the road to the Sacra di San Michele (absolutely worth visiting). A special mention for the owners' kindness and sympathy: Roland and Piera really make you feel like you;re visiting some friends. Last but not least: very tasty and familiar breakfast, with some excellent homemade bread by Roland. A nice place for a quick escape.

We weren't sure what to expect, driving down a deserted narrow winding road to our B&B at Il Giardino delle Farfalle, but the warm hospitality of Roland and Piera made our two night stay a wonderful one. The location is ideal for our visit to Sacra de St Michele and Turin. We took the train from Avigliana train station as suggested by Roland which was great. He even told us where to park our car where it would be safe. The room was clean and comfortable with tea making facilities. Although the bathroom was not ensuite, it was just next to our room (Roland plans to renovate to make it ensuite in Nov 2016).
We chose to have breakfast and it was excellent. We had freshly baked bread ( a different recipe each day) and freshly squeezed blood orange juice prepared by Roland. Eggs were freshly harvested daily from 3 chickens reared in the garden.
We were happy with our choice and would recommend this B&B for stays. Roland surprised us with a parting gift of a bottle of red wine as a farewell gift. Nice touch Roland!

Fantastic stay with Roland and Piera. They are the most hospitable hosts with a delightful home which was a real sanctuary to come back to after a day out. Roland's bread is delicious and very inventive and we cannot recommend their home more highly. Look forward to visiting again sometime soon. Many thanks and best wishes
