I've been to the gites at Masmajou a few times and always look forward to drinking in the amazing views with a gin and tonic when we get there.
The accommodation is spot on. A decent size kitchen area with more than adequate facilities for holiday catering.
The living and dining areas are ideal in size, allowing space for children to play (mine are 3 & 6).
The barn has been converted very well, retaining it's beautiful stone walls which keep the interior cool in the summer.
There are many great places to go once you're here. We typically take walks around the local area, visit Albi with it's amazing brick built cathedral and great restaurants, visit Rodez with it's stunning gothic cathedral and wonderful winding streets, a little further afield is Carcassonne - a medieval fortified town. We also spend a couple of days relaxing, enjoying the swimming pool.
There is a good selection of supermarkets in nearby Carmaux, plus a more local smaller supermarket in Naucelle. I can highly recommend the local boulangerie for some freshly baked French treats.
Overall, this is a great place to stay either with a small family or a group of friends.
