“A Wonderful Villa To Stay In”

We stayed here as a family of eight, six adults, and two little ones of two years, and six months. The accommodation was ideal, very nice, all rooms ensuite, and caters for children with cots, and a high chair. The view is amazing over looking the bay. The surroundings are picturesc, with a great pool area. It is a 15 min drive for an ATM and lidle for shopping. Near the villa we used the shark bar for drinks and food, this was very good value. Maria and Slavko are great hosts, and looked after us very well. Would thoroughly recommend this Villa to stay in.

“Just about perfect!”
Reviewed 2 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

This villa is sited in an idyllic location, overlooking the sea and islands. When lazing around the sizeable pool, one can take in the superb scenery. The garden is well-kept and attractive, with lawns, fruit trees, flowers and vegetable patch.
Inside, the villa is bright and spacious, with a large open space comprising well-equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge; the latter having satellite TV, surround sound and stereo CD player etc. The 3 bedrooms are roomy, each having huge en suite bathrooms and sea views from windows and individual balcony.
The villa is a short stroll away from a couple of local supermarkets, and a similar distance from a couple of bars/restaurants and another bar. Or use the villa's own kayak to get there!
The villa is cleverly designed, so that although the owners live downstairs, it feels like you have the entire property. Slavko and Maria are delightful but very discrete hosts; they are there to help, clean the pool, maintain the garden etc, but take care to ensure that guests have uninterrupted access to all the facilities, including the comprehensively equipped bar-b-q kitchen/cooking facilities and al fresco dining area.
We have never had such a super welcome pack, not only because of the range of items, but also because platters of cold meats, cheeses, bread, etc had all been prepared ready for our first meal, along with wine, beer, chocolates and fruit.
We often chatted with them, gained tips for sightseeing and eating out, and were invited to join them for drinks on a couple of occasions, as well as being encouraged to pick fruit and vegetables for ourselves.
In all, our party of six were very happy and fully satisfied with this property. It is superb!

“A wonderful holiday in Villa Maria at the Dalmatian coast”

We, three retired couples, have really enjoyed our stay at Villa Maria. First of all we have to mention that the owners Maria and Slavko (living at the groundfloor) are outstanding hosts. We just mention the welcome snacks, the amenities and the useful tips to get around. The apartment was really great and clean with an astonishing view at sea from the very large balcony. The pool and the garden are very nice and well maintained also during our stay. The location was perfect for many interesting daytrips like Sibenik, Zadar, Split, Trogir and Krka waterfalls, but also to relax at the pool or the adjacent beach.

“SUPERB place to stay near Sibenik”
Reviewed 11 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

The photos don't do it justice: the views and light from virtually every window is STUNNING. Every day we saw an incredible sunset as the property is west facing. There are three large double bedrooms, all with large bathrooms and three balconies. The property easily accommodates 3 couples, 2 babies and a child (or a combination depending on whether your kids are happy to share a queen size bed). We were there as two families with a baby and two kids between us and there was plenty of space, air conditioning, a washing machine a dishwasher (essential to make your holiday stress free). The BBQ kitchen downstairs has a separate fridge, crockery/cutlery and a dishwasher to save schlepping up and down with dirty plates.

The owner Slavko lives on the ground floor and has excellent English (he lived in the UK for 40 years), he's super helpful and looks after the (wonderful) pool every day. You can't tell from the photos but the end of the pool is an infinity so you can see the sea from your lilo.

The beach outside the gate is lovely even by Croatian standards and very sandy - some days the cove was so still and calm it was like looking at a lake. I didn't encounter any urchins in this bay even though they're prolific around the Dalmatian coast.

There are two small supermarkets within walking distance, and two massive ones a 10-15 drive away. There's a great beach place for a drink - the 'Shark bar' which sells cheap beer, pizza, pasta and local snacks - it's a 90 second walk along the beach and there's an even better pizza joint/bar another 5 min walk further along, past the Shark bar.

Day excursions should include a trip to Sibenik (15 mins drive) and the Krka national park (20 mins drive). Taxis can be booked if you don't fancy driving.

Apparently it stays warm here til the end of October.

Minor quibbles: more chopping boards would be great, and larger bowls for cereal. The directions from Slavko were based on the coastal drive (our satnav made us came the quickest way so we were coming from the wrong direction), and the directions to local restaurants should be read carefully. Also, one thing for future planning - the bathrooms are huge but the shower cubicles are not, if budget allows a refurb at some point would be great to get larger shower cubicles in there.

We really loved this holiday and the house was far better than we expected. Even the wifi was great!
