When we saw the signpost for Easkey on the Sligo to Ballina road we detoured to so that we could drop in to the award winning Pudding Row Café located in the centre of the village. Although located upstairs there is a special chair lift so that customers with walking problems can easily access the café. Upstairs in the café the views are wonderful as the sea is nearby and you can see Easkey Castle.

The café is bright and airy with seating for at least 40. There you can get artisan breads and delicious home cooked food made from locally sourced products. The staff are friendly and hospitable and the atmosphere is so incredibly relaxing. It’s also a perfect place to take small children as they have toys in a big toy box. The food was served quickly and it was satisfying and scrumptious. I had the pulled pork with soup. It was awesome. It was well worth the detour to Easkey and already looking forward to a return visit.

Pudding Row is as if a cooler-than-thou class from the National College of Art and Design were transported from Dublin to an obscure village in the West and trained to become culinary wizards. Some of the most imaginative and delicious food I've ever eaten.

After driving 45 mins to get here, myself and my two younger sisters ordered the hummus bagels. The bagels were served with what looked like a lovely fresh side salad. It was quite a mediocre bagel to begin with until my sister discovered a live worm in her side salad. We were absolutely horrified as two of us had already finished our side salads! My sister immediately informed a waitress who took the plate away and she sent another waitress (with a british accent) over to deal with us. She half heartedly apologised to us and informed us that the leaves were supplied by a local organic farmer and always washed three times before being served in Pudding Row. She then joked that at least we knew the leaves were "fresh and good for you" and offered one free cake. I wouldnt exactly classify a salad with a live, wrigling worm as "fresh", nevermind "good for you". She took the bagel with the worm off the bill but still charged for the other two which were most likely served with salad leaves from the same batch. Overall we were extremely disappointed with the insensitive customer service we received and can assure that we will never be making the trek to Pudding Row again.

I visited following a recommendation from a friend from the area. I arrived mid afternoon and had fabulous Victoria Sponge and a great Americano. Great friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere.
One gripe - the tiny dainty coffee cups. Americano needs a MUG.

Never heard of Easky until Pudding Row’s recent food award. We diverted en route to Galway on Sunday and really enjoyed our Sunday brunch in this eclectic cafe. Very chintzy feel with lovely view and welcoming staff. We had the special of home made potato cake with fried egg and an original salad with yummy home pickled radish with the most delicious freshly-brewed coffee. Finished off with delicious light Victoria sponge. Good atmosphere with varied guest profile vindicated our decision to meander along the north coast of Sligo in search of Pudding Row.
