“Still a step walk back up from the beach if you over 60”
Review of Finnygook Beach

Great beach the water is safe for our 3/4 grandson who loves the sea black sand why is there no golden beaches nearby. People keep it clean and take there rubbish with them and there are toilets up at the car park. Car park charges are not that bad but the Jolly Roger is expensive so take your own picnic.

Great place to spend time on the beach. You can find a place to lay down on sand or on the stones if you like. Not many people even on weekends.

Please beware that on top of the cliff directly above the beach, to the right of the steps as you descend to the beach,at the bottom of the garden of The Jolly Roger cafe, on the cliff top above, they have left ,balanced on the cliff edge ,a concrete roller, which probably weighs some 500/750 kgs, and should this roll over and crash down to the beach below , it will be terribly dangerous for those below.

The beach is child friendly, easy to reach and a good area to play on. There is a good car park above the beach and public toilets near the car park.

Lovely beach gets incredibly busy even early in the morning in the summer so recommend an early visit or you won't get parked easily! 10am latest ideally.
