From the local produce welcome basket on the table, when we had travelled a long way, to the beautifully presented cottage with everything matching in the kitchen, everything was thought of. The cottage was wonderfully clean with not a bit of dust anywhere. The views were amazing and on the perimeter of the working farm with horses nearby, there are lots of pleasant country rambles. Even with regular comings and goings of farm business, we very much enjoyed our visit deep in the Kent countryside. Mrs Attwood was very friendly and helpful and we will definitely be back !
The cottage was very comfortable and pleasantly sited within a farm near the village of Doddington. Excursions to coastal and many other places of interest all within an hour's drive.
We had extra interest with seeing barn owls at dusk and the house martins with their aerial displays.
'House Martins' is very well managed by Lynda who lived nearby, very friendly and available to help and advise.
This was originally booked by my family so I arrived without any idea of the location and facilities. Well, they made an excellent choice.
The cottage is nestled close to an active farm in a beautiful part of Kent. You are close to Canterbury, the Channel Tunnel, Maidstone, Ashford and main line stations taking you into London.
A car is of course an absolute essential.
Our stay opened with a lovely basket of essentials (milk, bread etc.) and a few more unusual but highly appreciated items (Spitfire Ale).
The owners were available if needed but allowed us our privacy - also appreciated.
The two bedrooms were made up of a double and twin bed. Very modern construction with all facilities you would need including washing machine etc.
I would recommend this highly - well done Dennis!!! I will be back.
Stayed over bank holiday weekend (sat-tues). Great cottage well stocked really modern clean and contemporary... would definitely record for a holiday... we will definitely be back!
We (family of 4) stayed here for a week in April.
We got a warm welcome and immediately felt at home.
The cottage is very cosy, fully equipped with al necessities and more, such as a washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, wi-fi, etc.
2 nice bedrooms and a roomy bathroom. Heating was also ver comfortable.
Located between Sittingbourne and Faversham with superstores just 15 mins away by car. Lovely countryside and all major attractions in Kent not really far away.
I would certainly recommend to stay here if you want to 'do' Kent.
