We needed accommodation at short notice in the Lowestoft area that was willing to accept pets. I was struggling to find anywhere at a reasonable cost until I found the Holiday Lettings website with Holly Meadow Cottage. Not only was booking really straight forward, the honesty about a slight fault with the water and discount for something which was not really an issue (hot water was a little temperamental, had plumber coming out to fix that week) was a nice gesture. We also really appreciated the flexibility in allowing us to bring our dog.
The cottage although small is ideal for a couple or young family with all the right appliances for a short break even if your self catering. Its decoration is vintage which my wife loved and the garden at the rear is lovely to sit out with a morning cuppa.
We were there to visit the area as it has great links to the wider area, so we didn't spend a vast amount of time in the cottage. Although there are board games, tv, dvd ect it would be a bit small if you were planning on staying in one place.
We arrived at night in the dark and we did have issues finding the cottage as the sat nav location in just off the point and the village is not well lit. It took us half an hour of walking up and down the road to realise it was dropped back behind another cottage.
Once inside we were delighted to find the owner (Adam) had made sure there was fresh milk, teabags and biscuits which was a perfect treat.
We would look to stay again for all future visits to the area as it was relatively cheap, a relaxed atmosphere and easy to book.

This is a very lovely, but small, cottage. It is set back from the road with no parking. However, there is no road noise at all. I would suggest that this is best suited to either a couple or a family with one small child. The cottage has a slightly odd layout (depending on how many stay) but is full of character. There are one or two features that need a little bit of attention but it is great value for money in the high season.
Nice secure garden for our dog ,to get hot water you had to regulate the flow a bit of an art, parking was in street across the road not difficult . Pub with grub close by also a shop with essentials
