“Fantastic, well-equipped house in a great part of France”
Reviewed 13 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We stayed at Lynn's lovely property for two weeks in July/August - with our three grown-up children. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed (including wifi). The garden is located to the side of the house, and is sheltered from the road - it got the sun from lunchtime and throughout the afternoon - great for the evening bbq.

The village bar and auberge were both welcoming, and we can thoroughly recommend the lunchtime formula at the restaurant.

The surrounding area is dotted with fabulous lakes – well worth the drive out, and is generally good for walking and cycling. There is very little traffic on the minor roads, and these pass through some spectacular countryside. The swimming pool at St Junien is fantastic, with both indoor and outdoor facilities – get there early for a lounger.

Lynn has a great knowledge of the attractions in the area and the local fetes, festivals, etc. that the French seem so good at. She was incredibly helpful and keen to ensure that we had the best time possible. We would definitely stay here again.

“Quiet and Friendly, slow life down”
Reviewed 6 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Lovely break, well equipped comfy cottage with a French rustic feel to it. Log burner but didn't need it 30c every day (cottage stayed cool) Excellent garden with BBQ which was a sun trap. Lynn (the owner) happy to let you pick and eat soft fruits. Area really different part of France as although well land locked had numerous lakes, some with beaches of their own. Beautiful villages, road tolls non existent, which puts me off other parts of France. Highly recommended for those who are ok driving abroad. Car absolute essential, book car through airline as much cheaper. Number of expats in village, really friendly. Lynn's advice and recommendations assisted to make a really enjoyable experience. Butcher, Baker, Shop, Restaurant and Bar nearby,

“A great place to stay”
Reviewed 4 October 2012 for a stay in September 2012

We have just returned from a lovely two week break at Rose House, the house is very quiet and comfortable, with a nice sunny garden and barbeque area setup with tables and chairs. It is situated within easy walking distance of the Medieval village of Brigueuil which has a lovely views over the adjacent landscape a nice restaurant, bakery and COOP food store, the food in the restaurant was fantastic.

Rose House is in a good central rural position of France and is surrounded by lots of pleasant walks, lakes and woodland.

A car is a must as there is a lot to see in the surrounding towns and villages; these have a lot of interesting history and are easily accessible by car.

I would recommend this location for those of you that want to unwind and chill out.
