The house is spacious and well finished, and has been well thought out. Everything we needed was there. The place is made to a high standard, and feels like a second home. The garden and the views are great. Vire and Sourdeval are lovely little towns, and its easy to get to Caen, Mont St Michel and St Malo fairly easily. Can't fault our stay, would recommend to anyone!
Our second stay at this lovely house. A really good quality house that feels very homely and comfortable.
The owner is very helpful and the caretaker is on call if there are any problems.
We had car problems and called on a local English mechanic 'Andy' who we found on line and living in a nearby village. Great guy and doesn't over charge!
Open plan living downstairs is great for family times together. Even has some UK TV. Excellent wifi. Main bedroom with a big bed and ensuite. Second bedroom with double and single bed. Attic room up steep stairs with two further mattresses - a great place for a teenager or two. All beds were very comfortable. Second bathroom and toilet. Dishwasher and washing machine - helpful for longer stays. Huge garden and outdoor table tennis - a really hit with our children.
Highly recommend this holiday home in the quiet village of Vengeons.
Lots to see in Normandy from the Mont St Michel to the Bayeax Tapestry and all of the memorials from the wars are a must. The medieval town of Domfront and the Chateaux nearby buy was also a great day out.
Local town of Sourdeval is nearby for bread with a supermarket. We even visited the doctor in the town during our stay - very helpful. But our main shop was in the supermarkets in Vire and there are lots to choose from - we preferred Leclerc.
Great family holiday and we brought our well behaved family pet.
