“Fantastic House in wonderful friendly village”

Had a great week at Le Couvent. Sam was very helpful from first contact and always available for any questions we had. The house offers lots of space and is very private. Pool is amazing, beautiful backdrop and was very welcome in the hot weather.

The village itself is charming and very friendly. There are two small supermarkets and the SPAR is very well stocked and catered for most of our needs. Charming boulangerie and beautiful play area for younger children in the shaded village square. There is a tourist walking trail around the village which was the perfect way to spend a few hours, the signs are in English and French and we all enjoyed exploring and learning about the place we were staying in.

Beautiful area and home.

“Just stunning!”
Reviewed 26 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

What a find, a stunning house in a beautiful and unspoilt part of France. The internal decoration of the house is so chic with every room having it's own unique style. The house had so much character and was so much larger than we anticipated, real value for money.

We were fortunate enough to meet the owner when we stayed at the villa and she couldn't have been more helpful.

We loved every minute of our stay there and would have no hesitation in recomending this villa.

“A Complete Gem in the Heart of the Corbieres”

This house is a much loved, often revisited centre for my fascination with The Cathar History.

I always visit off season when the weather is cooler, perfect for climbing the heights of the Cathar Castle locations and exploring the local wine growing region. Mont Tauch, the local cave, is within walking distance in the village..

Last year I also visited Les Angles. a two hour stunning drive into the Pyrenees past The Canigou . Perfect for Family skiing. We also stopped at Villefranche-de-Conflent the wonderful UNESCO World Heritage site.

This region really is magical during the off peak season. The crowds are gone and
you can get a taste of real France.

Anyone with a fascination with Kate Mosse books will also be in for a treat . Rennes Le Chateau and Le Bains and of Carcassonne are all within spitting distance.

I will definitely be returning.

Thank You! A complete gem !!

Liked best: The overall experience of staying there was fantastic
Liked least: There is no public transport so a car is helpful, although the village itself is lovely enough not to worry about leaving.

“Fabulous House and location”

This house has a bit of magic about it, set in a remote mountain town half an hour from Perpignan it is an idyllic location. The mountain winds arrive quickly and go just as quickly, the micro climate was refreshing and perfect for both pool days and exploring the mountains.

The pool, gardens and house are well maintained and felt very comfortable. We had young children with us that loved the pool and the local park. We went to the Church at the top of the hill and to the two local bars that were both child friendly.

The house has plenty of space and comfortable beds. You need a car to get about but the local shops are good and the little markets are worth a wonder into the town. There is a local cave and the wine is great. We went to Aqualand and visited the castle in Carcassone so much to do in such a lovely location. The Wifi connection was good.

There is something for everyone, whether you want sit and read your book in peace, climb a hill, swim in a river or enjoy on the beach.

Great house and a splendid pool. Perfect for a self-contained family holiday with plenty to do at the house. Tuchan is very French and the region has a lot of character.
