The house in Pugniella is well furnished and provides all the facilities required for a relaxing and restful stay. The locals are very friendly and the location is a convenient base for exploring the beautiful, scenic area. There is a choice of good restaurants nearby providing fresh locally sourced food and wine. Lorenzo and Olivetti, our hosts were lovely - very attentive and generous and regularly provided us with home made honey, jam, wine and cakes over the almost 2 weeks of our stay. We enjoyed the holiday and definitely plan to go back.
Lovely peaceful village, friendly and welcoming neighbours. We were invited to all the local festivities; such as a village feast and dance and a local car rally in aid of charity.
The hosts went the extra mile; we had all the things we needed to get started for the washing, dish washer etc. tomatoes and some bread to get us started. We even had home made jam, honey and wine...brilliant.
The two local restaurants in the next village - Rogio, were very convenient and better than most in the area. Great places to socialise and spend the evenings.
Definitely go back and take friends.
This lovely 2-bedroom house was our home for two memorable weeks in northern Tuscany. The house has been lovingly renovated and is well-equipped. The pool, in particular, has been finished to a high spec. It may not be the biggest pool you've ever swum in, but it is in-ground, salt water, lit, heated (appropriately), and has a lovely area around it with an outdoor shower. The house is in a charming little village where you really do feel you are as far from the cares of the world as you could be. And yet...there is a bar that opens every evening where the villagers gather, and the shops and restaurants of Camporgiano are less than 10 minutes away. There is a lot to do in Garfagnana, and this is a fantastic, reasonably priced place to stay if you want to explore the area.
