Had the most relaxing time..Fabulous accommodation..Would highly recommend if you want to relax in the peaceful surroundings...The views are beautiful and the environment is very inviting..Will definitely be returning for another break away..
The accommodation is simply perfect and of a high quality. The pre and post booking communication meant we felt welcome before we even arrived. It felt as if our enjoyment was a high priority of the owners and they got pleasure from that. The location is quiet with plenty of wildlife to spot. The setting by the river was stunning and we spent hour after hour lost in thought sitting on one of the two balconies sipping tea. It is possible to not leave the marina and forget your own world exists. It is also a great base for days exploring the countryside and towns nearby.
As this is to guide you in making a choice of whether to book or not, I had better tell you the bad points. However, I can't. There weren't any. Book and enjoy. I am convinced you will not be disappointed

Location brilliant. Facilities excellent. Dog friendly what more could you need? Easy to travel to from London. Hosts welcolming and attentive to our needs. Although the weather was mixed it still was a pleasant location and the calm of the lodge made it an enjoyable experience. There were facilities such as shops and pub within walking distance or a short drive which meant it felt countrified without the isolation. If the weather had been better it would have been great for fishing or canoeing or just walking! Ely and Newmarket are a short drive away and the larger market town of Bury St Edmunds is about 20 mins away and worth the journey. A good location from which to explore both Cambridgeshire and Suffolk depending on your tastes and brilliant if you want to see Ely Cathedral.

A beautiful location for a quick get away with the family. Booking was quick and easy.
The owners, Todd and Shizuka, were very welcoming and provided a clean, comfortable and well equipped place to stay that suited both adults and kids. They were very helpful and provided guides for the local area. They even posted us back our hair dryer that we had left behind!!
It was only a short walk away to a small village where there was a co op shop. Other towns were only a short drive away.
Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom was clean and spacious and there were picturesque views from both balconies. Tv, DVD player, soundsystem, quick wifi and a range of DVDs to watch.
A lovely view of the river and marina. We were provided with a bbq, kayaks, a row boat and life jackets which made the kids very happy. There were lots of fish for the kids to fish for in the river. The area also seemed very safe so I was happy to let my kids play outside while I was cooking.
Overall a brilliant place to have a quick get away. Would definitely go again.
