We have just spent three nights at the site. We disturbed the man in the farmhouse when we arrived on a Sunday and he was nice and friendly. We were given a great pitch not too far from the toilets, showers and washing up area. There is a covered area for younger children to play in, and a good circular roadway for them to run and cycle around. This site has no high-tech entertainment for kids, so they have to do healthy things like run, cycle, football, play tag or fly a kite.
South Devon is full of narrow lanes and so the only access to this site is via one of them. There is a half hour walk down to south beach, and a further 20 minutes or so into Salcombe. We caught the ferry back to south beach and an uphill walk back to the site. This is the nearest site to Salcombe as far as we can tell. Toilets clean, showers (20p) good, washing up good. An enjoyable stay. More
