Filthy dirty place, full of drunks, drug addicts and travellers. Bins overflowing, dog mess everywhere. The showers are dirty and cold, some have shower heads missing, I'm not even going to go there about the on-site toilets. The fairground, if you can call it that, is old and in need of restoration, as does the poor excuse for shops along the front. The lakes are dirty and full of rubbish, bottles, cans and goodness knows what else. Poor entertainment, The Venue is ok but only because there is nothing else to do, the other pub nearby looks like a local drug den inside and out. The pool is passable but cubicles dirty and showers not very warm. Depending on what way the wind is blowing, you also get the scent of sewerage wafting over.
Personally I'd say bulldoze the lot and start from scratch with a company that really cares.
Nothing much has changed has it Trudi246? Don't bother wasting your time with another fobbing us all off reply, you do too many of those already.

High prices for such little, don't be fooled by the pictures, this park was brilliant many many years ago but seems like it's just a profit making scheme with little care for the visitors/residents.
There used to be a few arcades which is now just one, there were many shops/restaurants on site but now has a few.
Fairground has got worse and worse with rides that don't look that safe.
Events are slacking now too.
Have heard a lot about people buying a caravan on site but the fees are steep and you are limitied to so much with buying it directly from them or if you want decking or an outhouse it should be through them but takes a year to get done.
Only event worth going to is the balloon festival.
Other than that Its needs investment or I think there doors will be closing soon.

So, we booked a carting experience for our nephews for Christmas and went today.
We pulled into a muddy and waterlogged site. The whole place looked drap and unkempt.
We were thinking where a track could be hidden away on site but we're directed to the other side of the lake.
After bouncing through innumerable potholes we arrived at the 'karting track'. The building was a shed.
There was no parking only a muddy bank off the road. The track itself was minute. I doubt it have got my car down most of it never mind 2 karts side by side. Add to that a large group of people eyeing the car up as soon as we went to park.
This was the 'karting' version of council park crazy golf.
What an absolute tip. And to top it off we found a sign stating it was half the price for the same thing as we had paid.
I wouldn't pay money for this tip of they paid me to pay it.
So we left without using the facilities. Thankfully groupon issued an immediate and no argument refund. Well done to them.
The whole site we drive through was a tip. If you're looking to book in the area I'd head elsewhere and I'd wished we'd checked reviews before booking

Hello, thank you for your recent review. We are very sorry that you felt disappointed with your visit, the go karts that we have on site are a third party and their prices do not represent the rest of the park. The go karting experience is a very popular attraction on the park so again we are very sorry that you felt this way and we are glad that the situation was resolved.

We decided to book Billing Aquadrome for our first trip away in our new Caravan as we had seen some reviews saying it had lots to offer. Whilst we weren't expecting brilliant weather in Feb, we knew the facilities on offer would make up for that. On arrival we did manage to find a pitch we were happy with although the mud was very bad but as stated we knew we wouldn't be expecting pristine grass pitches everywhere at this time of the year. However there were a few disappointing things over the next few days.
1. Whilst it was classed as half term, the amount of activities for the children was pretty limited.
2. Pool was ok (few people said it was much colder than previous weeks as less people there) but the huge disappointment was the slide was not in use (not faulty but just not being used due to the limited amount of people around we were advised)
3. Bar being closed early each night again because not many people were in. Whilst we can understand that if its quiet this isnt good business sense, people had paid to be there in Half term so would expect not to have to leave the bar at 930pm some evenings.
4. The pitch we were on had a few caravans next to it which i have to guess had people working away staying in as at around 630/7am every morning, work vans would drive on with music full blast and then proceed to sound their horns to get the people up. This happened every day on the holiday.
5. No signage of where to dispose of the waste water and toilet waste. On asking at reception i was advised they didn't know but there must be somewhere and then was pointed to someone on the gate who also didn't know but believed it was behind the shower. On checking again there was a small sink next to the shower which you could use for the toilet waste but there was no way you could lift a large waste carrier up to that so people just had to find the nearest drain.

However whilst the above was disappointing i think its only fair to share some of the good things.
1. The activity team were very good and our 2 children did really enjoy the mini disco's, treasure hunt, games and Kids bingo.
2. All of the staff we did speak to were very good
3. On Site shop is very good for essentials and good prices compared to what we have seen elsewhere
4. Pool area is really good (despite cold and slide) but it was a lovely place to spend a few hours.

Whilst we are a little disappointed we were glad we went and im sure in the high seasons most of these small issues would be resolved. I just wish that when booking we would have been made aware of the limited facilities as we may have chosen somewhere else.

Room Tip: If taking a caravan, get their early to have a good pitch especially if the weather has been bad
