Visited here recently in April 2018, and found the palace to be more interesting than I expected. Very informative film which is worth watching before going into the palace which provides a lot of background to the history of the village of Culross as well as the palace and the abbey ruins. Worth visiting if you are in the area, but probably not worth making a long journey to see it.

We all loved our time visiting, especially the gardens which we took a lot of time exploring. Make sure you go right to the top of the garden, stairs to the left. Great views up there. Make you visit even more better by stopping into Bessie cafe next door, had one of the best coffee’s after spending 3 weeks in Scotland and the food was very good quality, with great prices. Soup size is a meal in itself, massive!

Not too much going on in the garden at the moment, lots of flower beds and daffodils. Particularly like the shell paths, very pretty. In the summer this garden is stunning with perennials and a few chickens running around. Gorgeous garden.

The garden was well hidden away behind the Palace. Some of the flowers were in bloom but with the harsh winter a bit behind schedule. We have to visit again in the height of summer. A lot of effort to maintain them.
