We visited here for an Easter weekend outing. The Palace was delightful and wonderfully preserved in the style of the Bruce family. It was refreshing to hear why Culross was so special in the heyday. We were lucky to experience the hen feeding

We have visited Edinburgh for the last 25 years, but this was our first visit to Culross. It is a lovely place and we enjoyed our visit. We parked near the Abbey and walked down to the Palace where the girls took part in the Cadbury Easter hunt. Everyone was very welcoming, and we found the palace very interesting. Enjoyed a cuppa in a local cafe, then a visit to the Abbey before heading home. A good day.
It is a lovely little very quirky little palace over looking the Fifth of Fourth .It's vibrant orange colour stands out ,it is early 17 th centuary .We went on good Friday with family for an Easter egg hunt .The staff were very helpful and friendly .It is a national trust property . I am looking forward to going back in the summer.
Landed in Culross totally by accident. A really wonderful place to visit and so deep in history. We had not watched the Outlander TV series but it was good to see afterwards. The staff are great and the locals very nice. Good place to walk the dog before going in.
Visited Culross Palace and did the town tour too. The town tour is an absolute gem of an experience and give so much context to the town and properties. History, heritage, architecture and simply stunning view give many opportunities for wow moments. Super insights into pre-industrial revolution engineering innovation and trade. Guides were welcoming, informative and engaging with a wealth of knowledge that went quite beyond guide books or interpretation boards. Spent 2 hours which wasn’t nearly enough. Planning to return when the garden is blooming and can spend more time exploring the town.
Beautiful gardens with a huge variety of flowers. We loved the quirky seating, gates, hen house etc. We'll definitely be back.
