We stayed with our 11 And 9 year old. The stairs are steep but there is also outside access and we had no problems. Whilst small the top cabin was lovely and a well planned. Much more space downstairs. The skylight to the bunks does throw in early morning light if your children are light sleepers.
This property suited us very well and whilst we were out and about during the day we were very happy to hang around the cabin in the late afternoon sunshine or wander on the beach or use the children's playground on the green. Walking into cowes for dinner was also very easy.
If a beach cabin is your thing you couldn't do better.

We stayed in this smart little beach house for a long weekend. Lucky with the weather we made the most of the outside space to eat and relax. Sitting on the deck you can see the sea and the whole place has a New England feel. It is a spacious holiday let for two with everything you need to self cater but we were lazy and ate out. Breakfast at The Waters Edge and dinner at The Little Gloster (specialises in fish) in Little Gurnard next door. We had a car but there are so many places to walk to from Gurnard that we didn't use it. Cowes is a pleasant walk away and the excercise made the lunch at Coast more justified. Thinking about a date for our next escape!
NB. The stairs are steep, like a boat, so I can understand why the owners say no young children etc.
