The gardens are such a hidden gem. They are very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful cypress trees, waterfall and caves. I’m sure in summer the gardens are full
of colour and more stunning. The gardens are small but well worth the €3 entrance fee. Lovely to sit on the sun and enjoy some head space! Turn off you phone and really enjoy nature.

Don't expect there to rival the Alhambra but combined with a visit to the town you get chance to experience the real Spain ( yuk!). It's quite low key with limited opening times but you are likely to be greeted by friendly young ladies on the desk who anxious to enjoy your visit and tell you about their stays in England. It's a bit hit and miss what you will see but Springs generally good for blossom and Autumn for fruit. There is usually water running through but last time we went bit was dry probably due to the dry winter. You get a map so you can find interesting plants, and it's possible to visit caves which are illuminated in the cliff face, but take care as some bits are slippery and we once witnessed a very nasty fall. There is no Cafe but there is also an exhibition hall which sometimes features local artists. There is much parking near by but we usually park on the exit road towards Granada which has good views of Serria Nevada in the background. From here is possible to walk to the source of the garden's water, which has a good restaurant. There is also an easy walk, and hard walk shown on notice boards near the way to the Naciamentos and in January/ February you should be rewarded with displays of almond blossom.

The siesta is usually the reason that we couldn't visit a place that we wanted to visit, for example this garden. When we're arrived at this place, it's just about to close so we couldn't go inside. Well, we we took a little walk in the village. There is a nice plaza in front of the Jardin Nazari and we got a quick look of the garden from the side door of the garden.

Once the entrance is found in the little lanes of the town a delightful garden is presented. Very much welcomed by the receptionist, we ambled around the garden following the excellent map. A surprise were the caves underneath, well worth the steps down and up. Certainly worth a detour off the motorway.
