“Great Location for Northern Wales”

I struggled with the rating for this property. I would have liked to give it a higher rating because the location, beautiful garden and the owner Len's hospitality and helpfullness were definately 5 star. However, I think 3* more accurately reflects my overall view.

Len, the owner, held the reservation for 15 months on the honor system (no deposit required). The booking process was really easy and Len was great to deal with. He checked in with us several times before our arrival and was there to greet us and show us around. He was very eager to ensure we had a great time and made many good suggestions for places to visit and eat.

The house is right off a good N/S road so it's a great location to use as a base for northern Wales. It's an easy, relatively flat 1/2 mile walk into town with lots of restaurants. There's also a large co-op market in town with parking so shopping is easy. The house is in an estate (a residential development of about 40 private homes) but even though there are lots of houses near-by once in the house or the garden you can't see the other houses or hear or see anyone or any cars. The garden was lovely and looked out on a large field with trees and hills behind. The house has three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths so it can accommodate a large family.

This rental has a lot going for but I can't give it an unqualified recommendation. We loved the location, the views and the space (and it had excellent Wi-Fi) but the interior is in need of a major refresh. Most notably, the entire house, including the kitchen and bathrooms, has wall-to-wall carpeting so even though the hard surfaces had obviously been cleaned the house just didn't feel clean.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation - it was spacious and well equipped. The location was perfect for exploring Snowdonia. Certainly worth a visit.

“Perfect Place”

After our satnav taking us the longest possible route (my fault!), and a closed motorway, we arrived a few hours later than anticipated at Eagle’s View and met Len who was very welcoming. He ran through everything with us, and made us feel very welcome.
The house is perfectly located as we wanted someone near Snowdon, yet near a town as we didn’t want to feel too isolated. It’s very peaceful and has beautiful surroundings. Waking up in the mornings to sheep bleating and birds chirping made a nice change.
The house has everything you could possibly think you would need and more! There are plenty of information leaflets about the local area and would recommend the mountain zoo… the penguin march is particularly cute.
If we came back up to North Wales we would be looking to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone wanting a stress-free break.
p.s. Len is partial to jellied eels so if you live near a town famous for seafood I’d take him a pint!
