I wrote a review before the new management started and I am happy to say the promise mentioned has been fulfilled.
The food for which this fantastic Butcombe Trail was part is now back up to par.
Sample menu attached.

My husband and I were recommended to try this little gem of a country pub which has been recently taken over by a fresh new couple.

The sun was shining down on this beautiful little village nesting into the somerset countryside overlooked by a 16th century church. The quirky little pub with interesting nooks and crannies and bursting with history and charm has a very warm welcome and an extensive menu. All local produce and home cooked by the owner, the smells make your mouth water upon entry. We had the choice of beef, pork, chicken or vegetable bake for Sunday special on lovely old rustic oak tables. My husband had the Pork and myself the chicken. The portions were large with fresh vegetables served separately. Carrots, honey parsnips, green beans and broccoli cheese gratin and roast potatoes, gravy with meat choice. Only £9.75 or smaller portion £5.75

The service is fantastic and food delicious. Tasty home cooking! We hope the new couple stay put and carry on delivering the goods as its worth the drive !

Went to the queens arms on a first visit and found a wonderful 16th century pub, it was Sunday and very busy and only serving roasts, but it was worth the trip, meal was great, the staff very friendly, loved the atmosphere, will definitely be back soon.
Found out that the new landlord has only been there for a week, so well done and look forward to another visit.

Following a brief but thankfully temporary closure in the autumn last year it is good to see our local back and doing food as well as drink.
Roasts only on Sundays but good ones.
Summer should see a reinvigorated team take over and relaunch this little gem on the old Butcombe Trail.
Compliments to the chef.

Thank Robert B

Great tasty roast with the family! This is the 4th time we’ve eaten at the Queens since the new landlord arrived. We’ve really enjoyed every meal. Would definitely recommend
