Great place for a weekend break. Nice equipped kitchen. It is a pleasant stay and I will recommend to my friends
-Everything other than the cons
-Brown/yellow tap water from the soil
-Barbeque grill filthy
It is a pleasant stay and I would recommend to a friend. But would have preferred to know about the water beforehand, though it is manageable. Everything (other than the two cons) was very good.
We have just returned from bank holiday stay at Far Havens. The cabin is really lovely, clean and homely. It was well equipped with all the essentials we needed for our stay - crockery, cutlery, loo roll, bed linen etc. It has a beautiful log burner which I imagine is fantastic on cooler days. Little seating area out the front to enjoy a glass of wine or 2 with views over the estuary!
Location is great, away from yhe hustle and bustle and just a short drive into Aberdyfi.
The only downsides for us were that the road leading up to the cabin is pretty awful although we realise no fault of the cabin owner himself - plas panteidal should really look at getting this done. And the water had a yellow tinge - although hubby was reassured by the owner that it's tested regularly and is perfectly safe, it did make for a odd tasting brew so we brought bottled water instead from the co-op in Tywyn but this was down to personal preference!
Also, would recommend putting a few more instructions on the welcome sheet for visitors - i.e. where switches are for hot water/fridge etc.
Overall, we absolutely loved our time at Far Havens and would definitely look to return! Thank you Gary! :)
Great place for a weekend break, or even longer stay. All as described and shown on the pictures. Well equipped kitchen (do remember to bring salt and pepper though!). The place is absolutely lovely and clean with comfy beds and sofas. Towels were not provided. Overall, highly recommended!
Cozy little hut - brilliant in all regards - will come back again. Even managed to charge my electric car during our stay. How awesome is that !!!
