Lovely location, nice restaurant and characterful bar which is dog friendly. Good meal, reasonable prices and friendly service. My husband had mushroom tart to start which was fine but not outstanding, I had ravioli to start which was a little bland, my daughter had lamb koftas which she loved. My daughter and I had the spinach spiced tart which was very good and my husband had beef cheeks which was also good. The bread and butter pudding was also good.

Comfortable hotel with very obliging and friendly staff. The room that was allocated to us was overlooking the estuary and was sufficient to our needs.
However the evening meals we found to be very disappointing, we believe they were of poor quality produce and no expertise shown in the cooking.
We were overall happy with the hotel except for the evening meals.

Room tip: Rooms facing the front look out onto the estuary however they also face the main road.

You can't bet this hotel and restaurant for friendly service and good quality food. A brilliant location and good old British pup atmosphere. We will be returning next time we are in the area. Aberdyfi is a delightful location with a superb beach.

Nice atmosphere, pleasant and welcoming staff and lovely food. The roast turkey was moist and tender and the panettone bread and butter pudding was light but filling. We’d booked for ten people at noon but they were happy to reschedule for 2pm with only 18 hours warning. Thanks for that.

We had a meal here. The building itself was well maintained. The service friendly. Food good, reasonably priced..but not outstanding. I had chicken curry, which sounded wonderful on the menu. When it came, the presentation was poor..everything was lumped together in a bowl..including the mango chutney! A little off putting.
Aberdyfi itself was a little disappointing too. We were expecting a quaint little Welsh seaside town in winter, lots of friendly, Welsh locals ... hardly any Welsh spoken at all!

Hello,

Thank you for your review, it's lovely to hear you enjoyed your visit to us. I shall pass on your comment to our Kitchen Team.

It's a shame that you didn't get to meet some of our fantastic local's here in Aberdyfi. There are some wonderful Welsh local's that can tell you a tale or two about the area, its fascinating.
