As an airline key worker I need safe & clean hotels away from home during this awful pandemic.
This Travelodge is the best value hotel I’ve yet stayed at around Gatwick. Very friendly staff, Lucy checked me in & was helpful with hotel & local info.
The SuperRoom is particularly good with great comfy bed, power shower & Lavazza coffee machine. Nice touches with hot cocoa & biscuits.

Room was a bit tatty with the plaster falling off the roof of the shower area, and someone elses pubes on the toilet seat. The bed was comfy. The parking is a rip off but it is what it is for a £20 hotel for the night.
It was a trip in december 2020, it was realy nice but there are still some struggles, the entry with room card is not working by opening it at a third time or there was no right side of this card to put in correctly i just tried !! Please correct these card working thing. Because on the other side the call to the lifts are just in time and you do not have to wait hours for a lift to come and in worst case by having a stay in the 6th floor you do not need to wait for someone in the 2nd floor to come in into the lift and go back to 6th first and come back again to the reception if you have questons and anything else to do. So you can have a quick breakfast at the restaurant by going down.
Just to say, we had to stay here for one night and we thought the service the room was excellent. The reception was very welcoming when we arrived,very helpful, we asked if we could have a room facing the airport as our 2yr old granddaughter loves planes, and they did, will definitely use again
We stayed here as we had an early flight the next day and we were happy with the room and the hotel restaurant which we used for dinner, which served meals which were hot, satisfying and good value for money. The room was adequate size-wise, exceptionally clean and complete with tea/coffee facilities (I'm dead until I have my first morning cup of tea so this was a life-saver)!. We were very impressed with the staff on duty in the restaurant. In particular, Lucy, who went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed including a special nightcap - Espresso Martini - which she went out of her way to make personally. Thank you for making our special holiday start off exactly the right way!
Very clean and exceptionally friendly reception staff. They went out of their way to help. Thank you! This was my 10+ stay and I always recommend it to others looking for somewhere to stay close to Gatwick Airport. At the moment it is quiet due to Covid, so if you can help support it that would be great.
