Booked this to be close to the coast for bank holiday weekend... And wow!! What a find! Huge rooms.. Beautiful views and wonderful food!
The service is impeccable and the walk to harbour is long enough to justify a fish and chip supper AND ice cream dessert!! We are already thinking about when we can come back! Huge Thanks to all the welcoming staff and lovely hosts Barry and Anne-Marie! :)

The room we had (luxury) was excellent - sizeable, clean, great view of the sea in the distance, good tea/coffe making facilities large and excellent bathroom - no complaints at all and good value ....but the food?? odd!!
The food offerings were odd. You had to book your meal the night before on a form stating what time you would be in for breakfast and what you wanted to eat-it was rather like being in hospital. The breakfast had some good aspects the fresh fruit salad was excellent. The cooked breakfast was ill thought out. Instead of a full english we ordered bacon & tomato. That's what we got ...a piece of bacon & a tomato (a bit mean) I ordered haddock & scrambled eggs one morning & the fish smelt vile & the eggs were undercooked (I know some people like them like that!). I didn't complain but the chef /owner came in very blustery almost bullying and said I had better not write that the breakfast was off because it wasn't . He then grabbed some of the fish and stuffed it in his mouth to prove it was OK! (Personally I trust my nose when eating food). The food arrived at the time you said you would be down for breakfast so even though we had just started eating some fruit salad the cooked breakfast was still dumped on the table. Their system of ordering food in advance of the meal was efficient but didn't mean there was much communication between the staff bringing the food and the guests. The choice of breakfast was prettuy limited for such a good venue.
There was a bar in the evening but no snacks were available for purchase. Overall a great guest house but it could be outstanding if only they sort out their food offering

Ann and Barry terrific hosts. Could not fault the hotel in any way. We where all looked after superbly, the gin selection top class. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel, Ann, Barry and the rest of the staff first class.

A fantastic place which was able to accommodate our family at short notice. Very modern, clean and spacious rooms with our room having a balcony with sea view. Lovely dining room and great breakfast. The owner and staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Will definitely be visiting again. Louise and Ben, Bristol
