“Superb location”
Reviewed 11 August 2016 for a stay in September 2015

This apartment is in the perfect location for exploring Ilfracombe, the views are outstanding. It was spotlessly clean. It was self catering but there were lots of things normally you would have to provide yourself. Loo roll, cooking oil, condiments etc.

“Clean, Fresh and Everything you Need”
Reviewed 27 May 2016 for a stay in September 2015

In my opinion Clarian is everything you need for a holiday stay. Clean, fresh, modern and well maintained. It provides all the amenities you would expect from a Self-Catering Holiday Let. The views from the apartment are stunning, looking across Ilfracombe itself with the backdrop of the sea. This is a great location, we went to Woolacombe Beach in one direction and Lynmouth & Lynton in the other. Superb holiday, wished we could have stayed longer.

“Weekend Getaway”

Everything we were expecting and a little bit more. The property was clean tidy and well maintained and the view was fantastic. We knew it would be up a hill (it is North Devon and we saw the photographs!) but there are several routes to and from town. It is the 3rd floor of a grade 2 listed Georgian Terrace and with some of the reviews we were expecting headroom problems but the majority of the apartment offers full height ceilings, so no issues there. We were quite early in the season so the local resturants in Fore Street are only open 3 or 4 evenings and are therefore fully booked, but well worth it if you can get in. There are however plenty of places to eat so you wouldn't go hungry. Would I go to Illfracombe again? Yes. Would I stay in the apartment again? Definitely

“Amazing views”

The apartment is very smart and clean. The bedrooms are very well furnished, lots of drawer space, good size wardrobes and TVs (a real hit with the 5 year old).
The view of Capstone Hill and the sea from the front windows is wonderful. A huge plus point of this property is its central location (less than 5 minutes to the sea front) and its very own car parking space, We went out of season, but its plain to see that parking is a problem in high season in this town which has steep hills and windy roads.

Ilfracombe is a great place to explore with children. There are some exciting hills to climb, a couple of unique beaches, the harbour and a really great little aquarium, We even saw a family-friendly performance in the Landmark Theatre on our last night. The town museum is really interesting and well worth a visit.

I would say that this apartment is unsuitable for tall people. The apartment is in the attic space of a town house, and there is a low beam in the bathroom which makes the shower very cramped if you are tall. The 2 flights of stone steps down to the front door and then 3 flights up to the apartment may be an obstacle to some, ie. elderly, unfit or with baby buggy.
The house is three-quarters of the way up a very steep hill. This was not a problem for us, but I wouldn't stay here with my elderly parents.

A small niggle - we arrived late on a bank holiday and found less than a roll of loo roll in the bathroom. A welcome pack of loo roll, a dish cloth and a couple of washing machine tablets would have been a nice touch.

“We had a wonderful time”
Reviewed 25 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Lovely apartment in a very convenient location. Ilfracombe is a great place to visit. My children (3&6) really enjoyed it. Lots of things to do in the town so it was nice to just leave the car at the apartment and potter around the beaches and shops. Only downside was no wifi, and lots of steps! But you need the steps to get a great view so it was worth the climb! Highly recommended.
