Nice little B&B a few minutes walk from the metro station. Handy for buses up to Blyth too. Comfy ensuite rooms. My bed was a bit saggy but I still slept well. Great breakfast cooked fresh for you every morning.

it was obvious from the first step into the property that great care was being taken with everything in sight. The decor was themed throughout in meticulous detail. It soon became clear that this eye for perfection was applied to the whole experience comfort food etc..

I visited whitley bay recently to see some friends and initially had some reservations as the area needs some regeneration. Once I entered the metropolitan these fears were resolved however as it is a great place to stay. The rooms are comfortable and well decorated as well as extremely clean. The bathroom was a little cramped but again very clean and modern. The rooms were also well supplied with tea, coffee buscuits and bottles water. The owners are aproachable and friendly which is important in a smaller guest house and they cook a good breakfast too. I would definitely recommend it to a friend and would stay here again myself as the price was fair and the stay was enjoyable.

I spent a few nights here over the New Year whilst visiting relatives and this place could not have been better. Recently made, the interior was uber clean, warm and comfortable with all the amenities one might expect from a much higher standard of accommodation.
- Quality toiletries (no silly sachets to try to open in the shower!)
- Very good shower with plenty of hot water
- Good breakfast (though you need to select choice and time the evening before)
- Coffee & tea in room, fruit in the breakfast room
- Efficient friendly service
I could easily go on!
There's a lot of B&Bs in this seaside resort on the edge of Newcastle but the few I've stayed in to date don't seem to be trying very hard and would do to take some lessons from here.
A quality B&B - I'll be back.
