This felt like a real home from home for us, particularly as we live in a Linden built home and the company are still building on this estate. Some of the fixtures and fittings were very familiar! The kitchen is lovely and spacious and better equipped than our own kitchen. The furnishings are of a high standard and the nautical theme really makes it feel like a holiday home not just an empty house. It was spotlessly clean too.
We found the house very warm, even in late October. The bedroom thermostat rarely fell below 22C, which made the thick winter duvet much more than we needed, even with the window open. The only thing we missed was a tumble dryer, as we would have liked to refresh the towels during our stay but could not get them dry in time for the next morning if we did so. We also left our hand soap behind, as although it was nice to find new toilet rolls in each of the bathrooms, the lack of soap upon arrival was disconcerting.
We found the owners very flexible with dates (we stayed Monday to Sunday) and the key box outside gave us the option to arrive at a time that suited us. There was only one key but we stayed together all week anyway. Other groups might find that an issue.
