A bit late doing this review but we stayed the 2nd Week of Easter in April and everything was simply perfect. We parked the car when we arrived and it stayed put until we left. Public transport and walking was so much easier to do. The views were stunning and the apartment was spotless. The money that we put down just in case of damage was back into our account within a week of us leaving. John answered any questions I had and Annie left us some milk so at least we could have a nice cup of tea when we arrived. We have a dog and two children who thought it was amazing location as they are at an age where we could watch them from the balcony in the park. Lovely doggy walks around and very dog friendly pubs especially the one just down from the apartment on the green so we wandered down there a few times. Definitely would love to go back and I'm sure we will.
Our first time booking a holiday online, we had no problems. The apartment was fantastic, comfortable and with the use of the stairlift idea. The bathroom is a wet room which was perfect. Good night sleeps plus ensuite.
The view is truly amazing and you can see and hear the stream train, loved it.
The only down side for us was the slope down to the beach and carpark, was too steep for my husband. We parked our car on the road rather then the carpark.
The apartment was fantastic, having everything we needed. The milk, tea and coffee was a really nice touch. Beds made, towels and blankets there to use. The whole place was very clean I couldn't fault it.
The views were lovely and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony drinking our coffee, overlooking the sea, beach and park watching the world go by.
My 90 year old Nan who came with us loved the stairlift and the wet room, it made it so easy for her to remain independent.
Even Alfie the dog loved it, enjoying his walks on the dog friendly beach.
Can't praise it enough. Would love to go back. Thank you.
We really loved the apartment. It felt like home straight away. The balcony and views are to die for.
Paignton is brilliant too, an excellent base to explore the surrounding areas. Loved the sound of the steam train so much, we are missing it in the mornings, back home.
We bought a two day steam train ticket and loved the journey to Kingswear and Dartmouth, especially when I travelled in my own carriage named 'Nina'.
We were quite lucky with the weather and did lots of walking, walking to Brixham along the coastal path one day and to Cockington and Torquay another day.
I must admit I wish I was back there now and felt sad to leave. My partner said he could easily live there, it was such a lovely, well equipped apartment, with an excellent location.
Depending on how work commitments go, we would love to return next year.
Also, a special thank you to John and Andrea for looking after us. Andrea is such a lovely lady and couldn't have done more to accommodate us on our final morning. John was really helpful with the booking side of things and ensured that we had all the information required.
A wonderful apartment and location.
Though Paignton is nothing special, Goodrington is, being more established and quieter, and the view from the window is nothing less than stunning, looking over the Goodrington Sands and right round to Brixham. You can see the lighthouse twinkling at the end of Berry Head - a lovely place to have a glass of wine after you've put children to bed (if you have children with you). The apartment itself, set in quite a grand building, is also beautifully furnished and provided. You will lack nothing while you're there. It's all very tastefully done, most of the equipment being in a soft red colour! TV, DVDs, games, sophisticated blinds for the windows it's all there. And very secure too: the apartment door locks, and there is also a locked main entrance. Strongly recommended.
