We are a family of four and we stayed in The Retreat at Marldon House for a week and can honestly say that the accommodation was one of the best we have ever stayed in. It was extremely spacious, beautifully appointed with a fabulous, light open plan kitchen/dining/living room. Everything in the property was immaculate, even down to the kitchen utensils and Cath Kidston crockery. Clearly no expense has been spared by the owners. It was very relaxing and peaceful and a true 'Retreat' The views over Marldon from the property were stunning. The owners are very welcoming and friendly and we left wishing that we could stay for longer. We very highly recommend.

We've just returned from our three night stay at the retreat and had the most wonderful time. The living room/kitchen and bedrooms were all beautifully decorated and there were picturesque views of the local village and wider countryside from the house grounds. As we were holidaying with our baby girl we spent the evenings at the retreat. We felt very at home there and the beds were extremely comfy. Had the weather been a little better we would have liked to enjoy the courtyard situated outside the living area. During our stay we visited torquay, totnes, dartington, dartmouth, paignton and brixham so the retreat at marldon was a really good base for all these locations. I didn't want our little break to end, thank you so much!
