We have just returned from a weeks stay at Devon Hills Holiday Village and, having stayed at many lodges and caravans at quite a few sites around Britain I can honestly say this was by far the best of any. Check-in is at 4pm. Our lodge was something else. Incredible. Spotless and really well equipped. A large t.v., leather reclining sofas, decorated tastefully, washing machine, dishwasher etc etc. We had an amazing en suite. If we could be guaranteed that lodge everytime we'd probably go nowhere else.
The on site pub is also very good with great food. Everyone we met was friendly.
Everywhere caters so well for dogs and even the Blagdon Inn allows dogs in certain areas of the restaurant. This meant we never had to leave ours at any point throughout the week. Even the other local pubs, the Parkers Arms (the food here is also very good) and Noahs Ark allow dogs in the restaurant.
It's an hours walk (approx) to the beach, which also allows dogs.
This is a perfect place!!!

When you rebook, if you call us direct, Elaine will try and make sure you get the same lodge! It was lovely to read all your comments, thank you for taking the time to do so.

Luxury lodges, set in a lovely setting on the side of a hill for good views of the countryside. Staff are friendly and helpful, we had a problem with a tap which was fixed within half an hour. Our lodge was well equipped and very comfortable.

We stayed in a dog friendly lodge and was not expecting too much, but to our surprise what a lovely place to stay.
The accommodation was spacious, clean and very well kitted out.
Having settee's was also an added bonus as generally I suffer with my back especially towards the latter part of the week.
The bed was also comfortable however I did take my own memory foam mattress topper.
At home I generally go to bed around ten then up at five with quite a lot of waking up throughout the night, but during our stay I was settling down around nine and waking around seven, I have never slept so well and felt totally recharged within a few days.
I like the idea of having a fenced veranda as I did not have to worry where the dogs were wandering.
The site setting was beautiful with big rolling hills in the distance with good space between other lodges.
Another bonus was the dedicated dog exercise field where they are also allowed to be off the lead.
At the end of the day it was nice to retire to the pool and sauna.
I would definitely recommend this location if you are looking for a nice quiet place to recharge your batteries.

First holiday with our six month old baby so really wanted a home from home place this place exceeded our expectation ! The lodge we stayed in was just fantastic so clean tidy and everything you need for a comfortable a lovely stay great size and lovely little extras like shower gel moisturiser etc included. Everyone is so friendly lodges are privately owned so some have live in residents all year round but they we're more than accommodating to the visitors so helpful!! I cannot recommend this place enough for couples or people with babies not a massive amount on site for toddlers but facilities close by like Paignton pier! Also this place is so dog friendly we will be coming back with ours for another family holiday in fact we've booked extra days this time as we don't want to leave!!

Oh we think we remember you! So so pleased you had a fab time, it can be a bit worrying bringing such a young one on holiday for the first time! Thank you for your kind words and we do look forward to seeing you again soon!

Visited for 3 nights over the early May bank holiday and stayed in a premier country lodge. The lodge was very homely and clean on arrival and the kitchen sufficiently equipped for some basic self catering. A couple of minor additions would have been useful such as oven gloves and a bottle top opener.
Our three year old enjoyed the playground which has a good amount of equipment which was all in good condition.
Would definitely recommend and return again.

Hello! Oh my goodness - there should have been oven gloves and a bottle opener! However, we are so pleased it met with your expectations, and we hope to see you again soon!
