A nice place to visit & a chance to see Tommy a statue of a First World War soldier by artist Ray Lonsdale on the seafront. A brisk walk next to the sea followed by a Fish & Chip lunch at Downey's ended up being a great day out enjoyed by us all!

Was riding from Durham city to Seeham. It is beautiful but not special. Still would come back. It was a Saturday during April and only a few people.

I'd read the reviews of seaham on trip advisor which made me want to visit. It was a nice place but not how I'd expected. Perhaps it was because I visited on a showery April day and the sky was overcast and the sea grey. However a pleasant walk to blow away the cobwebs.

It was march on a wet day, so difficult to be sure, but it looks as though they are working hard to make it attractive, SDt Maru's Church, circa AD700 should have been worth the mile long walk for a visit, except that it was locked firmly closed when we got the mid Saturday afternoon.
