My father told me about this beach years ago & explained about the glass factory there. I have finally gotten around to going & finding the sea glass was magical. I will be going back again. However walking the beach & then back up the steps absolutely killed my legs!

Spent a few lovely hours here collecting stones and fossil hunting.

Very long way down to beach but free car park.

Would recommend a visit.

The dog loves a walk on the beach and as we live right beside it we spend a lot of time there with him.

It’s a ocular spot with dog walkers glass collectors and fishermen.

When you have finished there are plenty of coffee shops and food and drink establishments nearby also.

Any trip along the North East Coastline has to take in a visit to Seaham, this is a great location that offers local shops and restaurants, the harbour is small but wonderfully maintained.

When visiting Seaham you have to stop by and see Tommy, this is a wonderful statue of a World War One returning soldier, it is officially named 1101 but locally known as Tommy.

Staying in the area only 5 miles away so decided to visit SEAHAM. Got to be honest that after our trip to Seahouses we did not hold too much hope for a long stay. But!!!! the promenade was brilliant and level to walk on, and would be great for anyone in wheelchairs or not so good at walking. There is a really nice shopping mall and a pedestrian street with various shops. The harbour is accessible by car or on foot, so well worth a look. There are coffee shops and fish and chips so what else would you want. There is an Asda store if you do want a range of shopping. To add free parking to that then all I can say is " take a look for yourself", 3 hours soon pass.
