What a hidden Gem!!
An amazing sanctuary, away from the hustle and bustle, Ashlea Studio is a lovely getaway.

Finished to a very high standard, the studio provides everything you needed and some. The homemade fresh bread and cookies on arrival for both us and our 2 boxers was a very welcome added bonus.

The feeling that nothing was too much trouble is so refreshing, making our trip one that we will definitely make again.

“Simply Fantastic !!!”

Just returned from a truly wonderful weekend at Ashlea Studio. Had high hopes for a relaxing, away from it all, few days as we both work shifts and life is chaotic.... it was exactly that !!!
From the moment we arrived we felt completely chilled out and at home.
The homemade bread, cookies and dog treats were a lovely, tasty touch, which went down well with a bottle of wine in the sun, sat in the gorgeous garden. Friday night we stayed in with fish and chips from the local chippy and more wine.... perfect.
Saturday we ventured to Hunmanby Gap beach with our 2 boxer dogs, we felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves !!! Then off to the Ship Inn @ Sewerby for lunch with a view before heading back to the studio for another bottle of wine and a chillax in the sun trap garden.
Saturday night we sampled the local pub, The Tiger Inn, very friendly and the big bonus, they too had a boxer dog !! Then over the road for a lovely Chinese @ The Great Wall ..... staggered back to the studio for a restful nights sleep in the comfy bed...... all in all a perfect weekend, it just wasn't long enough !!!

Highly recommend Jane and Martins lovely piece of Yorkshire heaven. We will most definately be back !!!! Thank you xx

“Second to none - everything we could have asked for was there for us”

The four of us (2 humans, 2 boxer dogs) had a such a warm welcome and really relaxing stay at Ashlea - we were all given a big welcome by Jane and Martin on arrival and to help us settle in, we found some home made biscuits for us (and some for the dogs too) in the kitchen, as well as banana bread and homemade brown bread, and fresh flowers placed around too! We have no hesitation at all in recommending Ashlea to friends and family, the location is quiet and easy to find, accommodation spotlessly clean and tidy and one of the most dog friendly places we have stayed at. Thank you so much Jane and Martin, for a stay that allowed us to wind down and chill out :)

Liked best: The cleanliness of the property, given that it is dog friendly
Liked least: A bath would have been great along with the shower, perhaps an addition for the future as the bathroom is spacious enough

Jane and Martin should be very proud of what they have achieved here. They have put a lot of hard work and love into this place and it shows. Everything is catered for. All the little extra treats make you feel so welcome and special. The Studio and its gardens are a lovely quiet haven truly well planned and thought out. Ideal for exploring East Riding area. We really enjoyed our stay as did our two dogs. It was lovely to stay somewhere so dog friendly. Thanks for chats and friendly advice on the area Jane. We would certainly stay again. Rosie & Jan. We have just returned from our first visit to Ashlea Studio and it will definitely not be our last, in fact we didn't want to come home.
All home comforts are provided and it was such a lovely surprise to have cream and jam scones waiting when we opened the fridge. There was also home made biscuits for both us and Mollie (our dog) - and last but definitely not least, there was a beautiful home made wholemeal loaf of bread - ALL of this was so YUMMY. WELL DONE JANE. Other essentials that were provided was milk, butter, tea and coffee, and also a couple of bottles of water. There was also a bottle of washing up liquid, plenty of bin liners and various other things too numerous to mention. Loved the fluffy white towels made up as dogs with one male and one female (different coloured eyes). The bed was very comfortable with easy touch lights on bedside drawers. Nice bathroom with a spacious shower. There are hangers in the wardrobe and plenty of drawer space for you to use. The studio is as welcoming as the owners. The walled secure garden and decking with chairs, loungers and umbrella (for when its sunny) is excellent especially with having a dog. As you turn into the driveway of Ashlea there is a gate secured with netting which you get out of your car an open/close after you, then a driveway also secured with netted fencing for your dog, up to the property. There is also a paddock fully secured for your dogs to run free BRILLIANT.
Plenty of information for places to visit and eat. There is a local fish & chip shop which was brilliant, who also sell sausages, scampi, chicken burgers and many other things. Also local is a Chinese restaurant which we did not visit but looked welcoming and you can order take away meals if you wish (they are also cheaper than eating in the restaurant)
This accommodation is ideal for a single or couple and even if you haven't got a dog, the warm welcome and lovely home touches you will receive from Jane & Martin I'm sure will make you want to return.
On the day we left we received some lovely home made bisuits which were thoroughly enjoyed with a cuppa when we got home.
Thank You Very Much for a very enjoyable stay in Ashlea and we cannot wait to return.

Thank you. It is lovely to know that our guests appreciate the small extras that we leave in the Studio. We try to make each guests stay as comfortable as possible and to a standard that we ourselves would enjoy if staying away from home, so we do appreciate the lovely feedback. Thank you. We look forward to seeing you again.
