We arrived as caravan newbies and were welcomed by Andrew and his pack of well behaved dogs, who sat quietly in the truck. Andrew showed us where to site the van and offered to help if we needed it.. the award winning toilets were immaculate, as were the rest of the facilities. The site was quiet and well run. We had engine trouble on our van so Andrew and Claire kindly allowed my husband to work on the engine in their yard. The shop is well stocked and the heated pool really is heated. The dog walking area is well maintained and ovely and shady, which was essential on the sunny days we have had. The site is central to a range of places within driving distance and also is a base for beautiful walks and cycle rides. The friendly staff all had time for a chat and to help. We will definitely be back to this quiet, tranquil site.

We have recently come back from 10 nights on holiday in Devon, booked on this site but came home early and very upset. The site is good with lovely toilets and very clean and also the swimming pool looked lovely even though we didn’t use it.the first day I took my small dog a walk and three of farm dogs were out and ran up to me and growled, barked and I had to drag my dog up and hold in air so they couldn’t get her.i wasn’t the only one it happened to.. then came back early afternoon to find them doing work on laying piped in property behind our van with a digger less than a foot to the side of the car.thus was bad enough but when speaking to the owner of site he was very rude and arrogant he shouldn’t be running a site,we know it’s a farm and accept that but this man can’t run both.

Site is well situated and toilet/shower block is very clean with excellent facilities. Owners/staff very friendly and informative about the area. My wife and I made the mistake of booking during bank/school holiday, as adjacent 2 sites were occupied by 4 families, with at least 8 children, in 3 large tents and a communal gazebo. We believe the closeness of the tents is not recommended due to fire hazard. There was also 7 vehicles parked, some encroached onto our area. Felt it difficult to complain as not a huge problem to us and could have caused friction with our neighbours. However, we do feel that site managers should be wary of these things, as staff did drive past and through these sites and, apparently, were happy with the situation.
Would consider returning but,as we are a retired couple, out of school holidays!

What a pleasant campsite. We were a little late arriving on the first night but that didn't seem a problem. We were put in a lovely grassed corner of the site which was lovely and quiet.
The facilities were lovely and clean, the shop was well stocked. The staff were very friendly and the site had recycling facilities which was great. Looking forward to staying again next year

Thank Liz B

Whilst staying on this site a young women that lived on the site was attacked. This is shocking in itself but the treatment by the owners was unforgivable. I witnessed the owner drive his tractor up to the victims mother and rather than offering support and sympathy offered hostility abuse and intimidation and went on to evict the victim for bringing the police on site. Not very reassuring to feel you cant call emergency services if needed. Maybe they have something to hide.
