“Great walks”
Reviewed 19 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

My partner dog and I were welcomed with a lovely Victoria sponge and a bottle of wine which was needed after such a long drive.
Great walks are just on your doorstep our dog loved it, the garden is enclosed so felt relaxed when letting him out.
The cottage is very cosy and homely all amimities supplied the weather was a bit cold so we lite the open fire something I haven't done in a long time very enjoyable.
we had a great week and would love to return thank you

“Quiet and Restful Hideaway”

We spent a delightful week at Chapel Cottage which is small but beautifully formed. The cottage is in a quiet village, surrounded by mixed woodland with Coleville only a short distance away. We enjoyed walking locally, a day trip to Cardiff (train from Chepstow) and visiting friends in Bath as well as reading and lingering over meals. The cottage was the perfect place to come back to, well equipped and comfortable with a delicious cake to greet us when we arrived. We enjoyed relaxing in the conservatory, it was too warm to light the wood burner but that would be very cosy in poor weather.

“Small but cosy”

Quite a small cottage, but we soon got used to it, and became very fond of its cosy atmosphere. The Welcome Pack was the best ever, with very good white wine and an excellent Victoria sponge. It is located next to extensive woods, and the walks are very scenic - if a bit hilly. The village is quiet, but within a half-hours walk along a cycle path to Coleford.

“Lovely cottage with excellent access to the forest from the door.”

We had a brilliant week away in the lovely cottage. Coleford was a very short drive away. Symonds yat is stunning and well worth visiting. Chapel cottage was an amazing and secluded base which was a pleasure to stay at and relax. Our dogs loved walking in the forest and relaxing in the gated garden. The weather was good so we didn't have the opportunity to use the very tempting multi-fuel burning fire. Highly recommended for small families or couples with or without dogs. Ample room to store bikes and the car parks inside the garden gates. Peaceful.
