“A lovely well-equipped property in nice place. Lovely owners, too!”
Reviewed 14 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

The Bothy is a lovely place to stay and the owners were very friendly and helpful. The living-room with TV and Wi-Fi was very comfortable and well furnished. The bedroom had a large double-bed and was quite comfortable. The most difficult thing was using the car park which had a tight turn to access the street. The Bothy is somewhat overlooked on all sides so, for privacy once the lights were on, it was better to draw all the curtains, of which there are quite a few! We enjoyed our week's stay and would certainly consider staying there again should we return to Grantown -on-Spey.

Liked best: The living-room
Liked least: Rather blunt kitchen knives and tight turn out of the car park.

Pictures don't do the property justice, bigger than looked on the pictures, exceptionally clean and well equipped for our weeks stay. Prime location, lovely walks on the doorstep.
Very friendly host & hostess

“Great Location, Great Cottage!”

Met by Jan and Jani on arrival and given a good briefing. They were helpful throughout the stay, but managed to maintain an almost unobtrusive presence, ever attentive if required.
Loved the cottage; comfortable and cosy with satellite TV and wifi available. There was all the standard equipment for cooking and socialising that you would expect to have in a rental cottage.
The Bothy is situated behind a well used guesthouse and therefore the ease of not cooking breakfast is available by prior arrangement. We stayed with our dog and two minutes walk away is a wooded dog friendly area which wends around the southern side of the town down towards the river Spey. You are also within five minutes walk of the centre of Grantown on Spey, pubs, bars and restaurants. For us, a novelty, no need to drive at all!
Overall, an easy and relaxing week.

“Quaint and cosy cottage”

We stayed in the Bothy at Willowbank in Grantown for a weeks holiday and had a fantastic time. The owners were really helpful right from booking through to handing back the key. Always keen to help but leaving us to our stay. The cottage is perfect for a couple, feeling cosy and homely with all the features you need and to a high standard. A great base for visiting the Highlands and certainly somewhere where we would stay again.
